On April 3, 2016 the Guelph Police received the report of a possible impaired driver. The report advised that at 3:41 a.m., a four door sedan mounted a curb on College Avenue East striking a fire hydrant. The vehicle left the scene but was stopped by police on Gordon Street minutes later. Police spoke with the male driver, determined he had consumed alcohol and he was arrested.
Adam Dencsak, 19 years of Barrie has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80mg. He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with fail to remain and novice driver – BAC above zero. He will appear in court on April 19, 2016.
