19 Year Old Faces Second Degree Murder Charge

(SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON) –At 5:16 p.m. on May 7, 2015, Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a residence on Saugeen First Nation regarding a dispute. Upon arrival investigators found a male party, deceased within the residence. A male party from Saugeen First Nation was arrested in connection with the death.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by investigators from the Bruce Peninsula OPP under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Andy Raffay of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

OPP investigators have charged 19-year-old Jesse FARR of Saugeen First Nation with Second Degree Murder. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on May 8, 2015 to answer to the charge.

The victim has been identified as 66-year-old Robert JOHNSON of Saugeen First Nation. A forensic post-mortem examination of the victim will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
