(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On April 26, 2015 at approximately 1:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a dispute at a residence in the Town of Mount Forest. As a result of the incident, several individuals were injured and transported by Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a local hospital for medical treatment.
One of the victims, Joan DINSMORE age 79 of Mount Forest subsequently died as a result of the injuries received during the incident.
Ryan IVES, 19 years of age has been charged with manslaughter, assault cause bodily harm, assault with a weapon (six counts), threatening to cause death, assault and mischief under. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Guelph on April 30, 2015.
The Wellington County Crime Unit is continuing to investigate this incident, under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Andy RAFFAY of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
