19 Year Old Faces Breach and Weapons Charges

On the 28th of April 2015 at approximately 10:30pm the Owen Sound Police responded to a down town restaurant with regards to a male party who had displayed a knife. The restaurant staff were alerted by a patron who advised them that the male party who had accompanied him into the restaurant had displayed a knife to him that he then concealed back on his person. Although this was not done in a threatening manner the patron was nervous and concerned as the male party, who was also intoxicated eluded that he had the knife for protection.

Responding officers located the male in question outside of the restaurant. While this individual was being investigated it was discovered that he was currently on probation and out of custody awaiting court proceedings for previous criminal charges. He was found to be in breach of conditions of his probation and a condition stipulated in his previous release.

This young man was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of a knife concealed on his person. The knife was determined to be a prohibited weapon as it is capable of opening with centrifugal force. He was also found with a small quantity of marihuana.

Nineteen year old Eric Clark of Owen Sound will appear in the Owen Sound bail court on April 29th, 2015 for the charges of: fail to comply with probation ( 2 counts), fail to comply with undertaking, carry concealed weapon, possession of prohibited weapon, and possession of marihuana.
