19 Year Old Drinking Driver Hits Rock Barrier And Ends Up In Forest

On September 1, 2016 at about 4:00 am a 2008 Honda Civic was southbound on Wilson Avenue in the City of Kitchener. The motor vehicle reached the end of Wilson Avenue in Homer Watson Park, collided with a large barrier rock and came to rest in the forest. All three occupants of the motor vehicle were taken to a local hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Central Patrol Division and Traffic Services Branch investigated the collision. The driver of the motor vehicle, a 19 year old Kitchener male was charged for Careless Driving as well as a novice driver charge relating to having consumed alcohol. The driver also had his drivers licence seized for 3 days.
