(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) – On November 18, 2012 at 3:46pm County of Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling on Jones Baseline, north of County Road 124 operating moving radar and monitoring traffic in Guelph-Eramosa Township. At this time and location, Constable Daniel Dusto observed a southbound 2009 Suzuki motorcycle travelling well above the speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 124 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. Just as police were about to stop the motorcycle the driver did a “wheelie†– driving with the front wheel off the ground – prior to pulling over. The drivers licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Wesley Kelba aged 19 of St. Clements has been charged with Stunt Driving and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on December 19, 2012 to answer to the charges.
