(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On Monday November 20, 2017 at approximately 12:00 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on The Hanlon Expressway, Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a 2009 Lexus sedan at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 150 km/h, 70 km/h over the posted limit.
19-year-old Gursahib Singh SOHI of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on January 3, 2018.His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
