19 Year Old Caught Going 110 in a 40

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On Friday October 19, 2018, at approximately 12:19 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting radar enforcement and monitoring traffic in and around the Village of Hillsburgh on Wellington Road 24 in the Town of Erin. The officer observed a male driving a red sedan northbound at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 40 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 110 km/h and stopped just north of the village.

19-year-old Jayson PANDAY of Orangeville has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on December 5, 2018. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
