(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial (OPP), with the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit, Mount Forest, are investigating a break, enter and theft from Premier Equipment (formerly John Deere Farm Equipment Dealership) located on Hwy. 6, just north of Mount Forest, in the Township of Southgate.
At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017, unknown person(s) gained entry to the business by smashing the front window. A total of 19 Stihl products, valued at just over $8,500, were stolen. The stolen property included chain saws, trimmers, blowers, pressure washers and an indoor heater.
A dark colour pick-up truck with multiple roof lights above the cab was observed on the property just prior to the break-in.
Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
