18 Year Old Grayson Barry – Flight From Police, No Licence, No Plates, No Insurance etc

(GUELPH/ERAMOSA TWP, ON) On Saturday June 15, 2013 at approximately 5:08pm Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a driving complaint involving a black Dodge pick-up truck in the area of Side Road 20 and the 5th Line of Guelph/Eramosa Twp. Police observed a vehicle matching that description and attempted to conduct a traffic stop however, the 2003 Dodge pick-up truck accelerated away northbound at a very high rate of speed. Police discontinued following the truck due to the aggressive manner that it was being operated and the concern for public safety.

The driver was later identified and the vehicle was located.

Grayson Barry aged 18 of Guelph has been charged with Flight from Peace Officer, Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle, Public Mischief contrary to the Criminal Code and Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence, Use Plates Not Authorized For Vehicle, and Fail to Notify Change of Name contrary to the Highway Traffic Act as well as Owner Operate Motor Vehicle – No Insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on August 27, 2013 to answer to the charges.
