On 7 April 2016 at 1:40 p.m., Emergency services were called to Jacob Hespeler High School located at 355 Holiday Inn Drive in the City of Cambridge in response a report of 3 fires inside the school. Upon arrival the Cambridge Fire Department located a fire inside a second floor bathroom and it was quickly extinguished. No other fires were located in the school. As a result of investigation, an 18 year old student has been charged with arson. There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
