(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A novice driver from London has been charged with Stunt Driving following a traffic stop conducted by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) this past weekend.
On Friday, May 21 at approximately 8:23 p.m. a Huron OPP officer observed a sport utility vehicle travelling southbound on London Road (Highway 4) at a high rate of speed. A RADAR device was utilized to measure the speed of the vehicle and it measured in at a speed in excess of 150 km/h, well above the posted 80 km/h limit.
A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was subsequently charged.
Adnan KALYOWA, 18 years of age from London has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle – Perform a Stunt. The driver now has a court date scheduled for July 6, 2021 at Provincial Offences Court in Goderich.
The vehicle was impounded and the driver was served with an automatic seven day driver’s licence suspension.
