18 and 20 Year Old Arrested After Series Of Armed Robberies In Waterloo

On September 25, 2016 at 4:10 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to the Macs Convenience store on Pioneer Drive in Kitchener for a report of a robbery.

At 5:15 a.m., officers were called to the Seven Eleven Variety store on University Avenue East in Waterloo for another report of a robbery.

Officers were again called out at 5:40 a.m. to the Little Short Stop on Northfield Drive East in Waterloo for another robbery. In each case, the suspect was carrying a gun. Shortly after the last robbery, officers located the suspect vehicle traveling along Highway 7 and 8, near Ottawa Street in Kitchener and conducted a traffic stop.

Two Kitchener men, aged 18 and 20, have been arrested, along with two young offenders. All are facing charges of robbery with a firearm and weapons dangerous to the public. A replica pistol was found inside the vehicle.
