(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday January 19, 2013, around 4 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer on patrol observed a fast moving GMC Sierra pickup truck on Line 29 south of Stratford.
The officer activated the cruisers police radar and the locked the speed of the pickup truck at 138 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. The truck was operated by a 17 year old male from the Township of Perth South. The male was issued a summons for racing a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Court on February 12, 2013. His driver’s licence was seized and has been returned to the Ministry of Transportation as it is suspended for 7 days. His pickup truck was towed from the scene and has been impounded for 7 days.
