17 Year Old Caught Doing 142 in a 90 – Vehcile Impounded For 7 Days

(NORTH HURON, ON) – On January 11, 2012 just before 10:00 p.m., a Huron County OPP officer was conducting RADAR patrol on Amberley Line, west of Wingham when a Pontiac was observed moving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle speed was locked at 142 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone. A 17 year old from Howick Township, ON has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle -Speeding by 50km/h or more. He will have to attend Provincial Offences Act Court at a date to be determined to answer to the charge. His licence has been suspended for 7 days and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
