16 Year Old Repeat Offender Facing Armed Robbery Charge

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – On March 9, 2018 members of the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police Service, Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), West Region (WR) Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the WR Tactics and Recuse Unit (TRU) executed a Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) search warrant at property on Bodkin Road.

As a result of this police investigation, a 16-year-old, male of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation has been charged with the following offences pursuant to the CCC, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), and the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA):

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance x 2

– Robbery Using Firearm

– Disguise with Intent

– Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada

– Pointing a Firearm

– Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

– Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams

– Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis resin – under 1gram

The accused was held in custody and scheduled to make a court appearance in London on March 9, 2018.
