15 Year Old Sent To Hospital After Ignoring Don’t Walk Signal

On Tuesday June 14th, 2016 at 7:41am, a 15 year old female student was at the southeast corner of the intersection of Weber Street North and King Street North in Waterloo. A 44 year old male Waterloo resident was turning right from Weber Street to go southbound King Street in a grey Toyota Camry.

The student began running northbound to cross Weber Street, against a Don’t Walk signal and was struck by the Toyota. Region of Waterloo Emergency Medical Services attended and transported the student to a local hospital where her injuries were determined to be minor. There are no charges.
