Incident: On Tuesday, December 6, 2016 a son engaged in a verbal argument with his mother in their home. The argument escalated and the son punched a hole into a wall.
On Wednesday, December 7, 2016, the son continued yelling at his mother which caused her such concern for her safety that she retreated to her bedroom and contacted Community Patrol Officers for assistance. Police attended and were able to calm the son. Shortly after police leaving, the son exited the home and punched the windshield on his mother’s’ vehicle causing it to crack. The 14 year-old son was arrested and charged with Mischief. He was held for a bail hearing.

Date: December 7, 2016
Location: Lynden Road (0-100 Block)
Incident: On Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at approximately 6:45 p.m. a man attended a business on Lynden Road and selected various items off of the shelves. He concealed the items inside a backpack and left the store without making any attempt to pay for them. As he was leaving, he set off a security alarm. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and the man was arrested. Through investigation it was also learned that the man had a warrant for his arrest for another theft.
As a result, a 30 year-old Brantford man was charged with Theft and Possession of Stolen Property. He was held for a bail hearing.

Incident # 16-46215
Date: December 8, 2016
Location: Wellington Street at Drummond Street
Incident: On Thursday, December 8, 2016 at approximately 1:40 a.m. a Community Patrol Officer on routine patrol conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the area of Wellington Street and Drummond Street. Through investigation it was learned that the two men inside the vehicle were on conditions to not associate with each other. As a result, both men were arrested. During a search after arrest one man was found to have controlled substances.
A 16 year-old Brantford man was charged with Fail to Comply with Youth Sentence and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
An 18 year-old Brantford man was charged with two counts of Breach of Probation.
They both were held for a bail hearing.
