Just after 3:30 Tuesday morning officers responded to an alarm at a retail store on the city’s east side. The first officer on scene found a young male attempting to gain entry to the business using tools that he had brought with him. His attempts were enough to trigger the alarm but fortunately no complete entry was gained. The 14 year old Owen Sound boy was taken into police custody and will be appearing later this morning in the Owen Sound Youth Court to answer to the charges of Break and Enter with Intent, Possession of Break in Tools, Mischief Under $5,000 and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation.
