On October 6th, 2016, just shortly after 4:00pm, a 14 year old male was sitting on a bridge near the open field area, just south of Golf Links Road and North of Joshua Avenue in Ancaster when he was approached by two (2) males. The two suspects made inquiries about wanting to purchase drugs.
During the conversation one of the suspects was observed with something in his waistband. The victim believed it was the handle of a handgun or pellet gun. Demands were made for the victim to turn over his smartphone while the second suspect stole the victims BMX style bicycle. The suspects obtained the phone and fled. The victim was not physically injured during the incident. Both suspects were last seen leaving the area east towards the retail businesses and restaurants with the bicycle. The victim returned home reporting the matter to his parents who contacted police to investigate.
Suspects described as:
Two black males approximately 17 years old
It is unknown if this incident is linked to the⇒ previous incident, given the proximity and descriptions of the suspects involved. Detectives are considering the possibility that the same suspects may be involved.
