(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit have arrested and charged three males in connection to allegations of child luring and sexual assault. The investigation was assisted by members of the Bruce Peninsula OPP Crime Unit, Perth County OPP Crime Unit, and Owen Sound Police Service.
The OPP investigation began on April 10, 2014, after police received information of a 14 year old girl, from Owen Sound, who had been lured over a period of time and sexually assaulted on multiple occasions. The incidents occurred in the Township of Georgian Bluffs and the City of Owen Sound.
Robert James ABELL, 29, of Georgian Bluffs and Kitchener, stands charged with sexual assault (x2), sexual interference (x2), and child luring (x2).
Shawn Douglas BALL, 29, of South Bruce Peninsula, stands charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and breach of recognizance.
Aaron Kenneth Allan FELTIS, 37, of Georgian Bluffs, stands charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and, child luring (x2).
Each accused was arrested and held for a bail hearing. Shawn BALL remains in custody. Robert ABELL and Aaron FELTIS are scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on May 29th, 2014.
