On Thursday, January 8, 2015, members of the Guns and Drugs Section, consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a High Street residence. The suspect was arrested without incident with the assistance of Emergency Response Unit and K9 officers.
Cocaine Seizure
Seized were the following:
– 1363 grams of cocaine – $136,300
– Approximately $10,000 in Canadian and American currency
– 2008 Chevrolet Colbalt
As a result of the investigation, James Principe, (28) of London, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada; and two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
