132 In An 80 Results In Racing Charge & Vehicle Impoundment

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Sunday August 14, 2011 before 7:30 a.m. a Perth County OPP officer conducting radar patrol observed a fast moving Monte Carlo on Perth Line 20 west of Highway 23. The officer activated the police radar which registered a speed of 132 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

As a result of travelling 52 km above the speed limit, the 30 year old male driver from Kitchener will have to appear in Stratford Court on September 13, 2011 to answer to the charge of “race a motor vehicle”. The male’s driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and his vehicle was impounded for a week.
