$120,000 Drug Bust In Kitchener

On Wednesday the 20th of May 2015, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Drug Branch, with the assistance of Emergency Response officers, completed an ongoing drug investigation by executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances search warrant at a residence on Activa Avenue in Kitchener. Two Kitchener males were arrested and charged. This drug investigation was worked and completed in partnership with the Stratford Police Service and targeted crystal meth trafficking operations in both Waterloo Region and Stratford. The investigation, arrest and search warrant execution resulted in the seizure of 769 grams of methamphetamine, 338 ecstasy pills and $5000 in cash. The approximate street value of the drugs seized was in excess of $120 000. Both males were charged with one count of Trafficking, 2 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and were held for Show Cause. One male was further charged with being in possession of proceeds of crime and more charges are pending.
