(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Friday April 20, 2012, shortly after 3 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a farm on Line 29 where the owner reported the theft of his ATV.
Investigation revealed that on Friday morning the owner of the ATV had used the machine to travel between a farm on Perth Road 112 and a farm on Line 29 east of Perth Road 112. The ATV was parked with the key in the ignition inside a shed on the farm. At 2:30 p.m. the owner was working in a shed when he observed his ATV being operated by a male travelling west bound on Line 29. The owner jumped in his truck and attempted to follow his ATV but lost sight of it as it was driving south on Perth Road 112 towards Perth Line 26. The owner and police patrolled the area but the ATV was not located.
The ATV is a green Artic Cat TBX 700 with an Ontario licence plate 99VN1 attached to the rear, VIN# of the ATV is 4UF11ATV4BT260183. The ATV has a storage compartment behind the seat, and is valued at over $12,000.00
