(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) Shortly after 7:15 p.m. on Friday January 11, 2013, Perth County OPP officers received a call from a motorist who reported a vehicle passing in a dangerous manner in heavy fog on Hwy 23 north of Listowel.
The motorist provided police with a description of the vehicle and a licence plate number. Officers continued to patrol and observed for the vehicle which was described as a Volkswagen Jetta.
A short while later an officer patrolling for the Jetta observed a fast moving car enter on radar on Perth Road 119 east of Brunner. The Jetta with 3 males inside was locked in on radar at 107 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. The 28 year old male driver from New Hamburg was charged with speeding and was warned for careless driving in heavy fog.
