(SOUTH HURON, ON) – It certainly is the off season for outdoor picnics however some thieves in the South Huron area felt the time was right to swipe a heavy duty wooden picnic table.
The wooden picnic table was recently constructed by some community volunteers and it had been gifted to the Municipality of South Huron. The table was stolen sometime overnight on February 3, 2017 from the Thames Road/Elimville Line Park. It was one of two tables that had been stored underneath a covered shelter at that location.
It appears as though the thieves loaded the table onto a trailer and drove away.
The table is valued at approximately $1,000.
