The Barrie Police Service dealt with a total of 10 noise complaints over the evening hours of Sept 6th, 2013. Half of the noise complaints came from the north east end of the City while the remainder were scattered throughout the south end of the City.
Barrie residents are reminded that notwithstanding any other provision of the noise by-law, no person shall emit or cause or permit the emission of sound likely to disturb another person in a residential
area between 9:00 p.m. of one day and 7:00 a.m. of the following day or anytime of the day where the
noise is clearly audible at the point of reception.
If fined the residents face an automatic court appearance and could face monetary fines.
