Youths Arrested For Armed Robbery

On April 26, 2026, officers with Patrol Services charged two local 15-year-olds with robbery and other offences.

Shortly before 10:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a robbery at a business in the 600 block of Wellington Street West. Officers were dispatched to the business. An investigation revealed two youth verbally threatened an employee while brandishing a knife when they were confronted about stealing.

Officers located the two accused—who matched the descriptions of the suspects—nearby. They were arrested. A search of the accused located a knife and pepper spray.

Both accused are charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm

Both accused were released on undertakings and are scheduled to appear in court on June 9, 2026.
