(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an impaired driver at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint.
On January 26, 2025, shortly after 8:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County OPP conducted a traffic stop to check sobriety of the driver at a RIDE checkpoint on St. Clair Parkway, St. Clair Township.
As a result of the investigation, Tyler BRANDON, 40-year-old of Corunna, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Liquor Licence and Control Act with the following offences:
- Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on February 10, 2025, in the City of Sarnia.
