(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – A traffic complaint has led to the arrest of an impaired driver.
On January 8, 2026, at approximately 8:20 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint from a concerned member of the public of a driver asleep behind the wheel on Silvercreek Parkway in Guelph.
As a result of the investigation, Stephen FERRARO, a 43-year-old from Guelph Eramosa Township, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on January 20, 2026.
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
