Robin Crate – Drunk Driving

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) -Traffic complaint leads to one impaired driver removed from the road.

On September 27^th, 2024, at 6:00p.m Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received reports of a vehicle driving through a closed gate on County Road 121.

Officers arrived on scene and located the driver asleep behind the wheel.

57-year-old, Robin Crate from Georgina was arrested and charged with

–      Operation while impaired

–      Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80plus)

In addition to the charges the driver received a 90-day licence suspension, and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

The accused was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
