Riley SANDUL – Drunk Driving

(PETAWAWA, ON) – Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid multiple charges against a Petawawa resident after the vehicle was seen driving into the ditch.      

In the early morning of Saturday, March 21, 2026, police witnessed a vehicle leave the roadway in Petawawa. Officers conducted an investigation and as a result 21-year-old Riley SANDUL of Nepean was charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) and HTA offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drug
  • Novice driver blood alcohol concentration (B.A.C) above zero
  • Careless driving

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended and their vehicle was towed. The individual was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Tuesday, May 4, 2026.
