(ROCKLAND, ON) – The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid additional sex-related charged against a Rockland resident.
On March 5, 2024, members of the Russell County OPP Crime Unit, assisted by OPP Digital Forensics and Forensic Identification Services, executed a warrant in Ottawa and arrested an individual in relation to a historical sexual assault / child luring investigation.
Michael WOLOSCHUK, age 44 from Rockland, was charged with:
- Sexual Assault on a person under 16 years of age – three counts
- Sexual Interference – three counts
- Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication – two counts
- Fail to Comply with a Release Order – one count
The accused was remanded in custody and scheduled for a bail hearing on March 12, 2024, by video from the Ottawa-Carlton Detention Centre.
This accused was previously charged with similar offences in August 2023. Those charges remain before the courts.
