(ST. THOMAS, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, the OPP Technological Crime Unit, and the St. Thomas Police Service have arrested and charged a St. Thomas man following a child pornography investigation.
On July 8, 2014, police executed a search warrant at a St. Thomas residence after receiving information that an individual had e-mailed Child Pornography. As a result of this investigation, a computer and related computer equipment were seized containing images of child sexual abuse.
On July 8, 2014, police arrested Robert James SINDEN, 57 years-old of St. Thomas, and charged him with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Distributing Child Pornography.
The accused is being held in custody awaiting a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on July 10, 2014.
The investigation is continuing.
