The Sarnia Police Service has arrested and charged a 48-year-old Sarnia man following an investigation involving criminal harassment, breach of court-ordered conditions, and a residential break-and-enter.
The investigation stems from a pattern of harassment and unwanted communication that began earlier in 2026. Police had previously arrested the accused on May 11, 2026, for criminal harassment and harassing communications. He was then subject to conditions prohibiting any form of contact with the victim and prohibiting attendance at locations associated with them.
Despite these conditions, the accused continued attempts to communicate and monitor the complainant.
On June 13, 2026, police responded to a report of a break-and-enter at a residence. Officers attended and located the accused inside the home. He was taken into custody.
As the investigation progressed, additional evidence—including online communications and items seized at the scene—resulted in the escalation of charges to include attempted murder.
Kyle GEORGE, 48 years old from Sarnia, faces the following charges under the Criminal Code of Canada:
- Attempted Murder (Section 239)
- Break and Enter to Commit an Indictable Offence (Section 348(1)(b))
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm (Section 264.1(1)(a))
- Two counts of Fail to Comply with Undertaking (Section 145(4)(a))
- Criminal Harassment (Section 264(2)(a))
- Criminal Harassment – Besetting (Section 264(2)(c))
- Harassing Communications (Section 372(3))

The accused was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
