Body Of Missing Canoeist Recovered

(SAGANAGONS LAKE) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have located the body of a missing canoeist on Saganagons Lake.

On June 9, 2024, just before 4:00 p.m., the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit located the body of the 25-year-old male from Indianapolis, Indiana, who had gone missing after a canoe capsized on Saganagons Lake in Quetico Provincial Park.

The individual had been missing since June 5, 2024.

There will be no further information released. OPP and Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry resources have cleared the area.
