Collision – 2 Deceased

(FRANKVILLE, ON) – The Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate a single vehicle collision where two occupants were found deceased.

On June 10, 2024, shortly before 6:00 a.m., members of the Leeds OPP received reports of a heavily damaged vehicle in the ditch on Kitley Elizabethtown Townline Road, just east of County Road 29.

The occupants, a 62 year-old man from Frankville and a 30 year-old woman from Brockville, were found deceased upon police arrival. The collision is believed to have occurred several hours before it was discovered, as the vehicle’s engine was cold to the touch.

No witnesses have come forward at this time, and the cause of the collision is still undetermined. OPP Collision Reconstructionists and members of the Traffic Collision Investigation Team have concluded their on-site portion of the investigation and, as a result, the roadway has since reopened. The Office of the Chief Coroner and the Office of Forensic Pathology have begun their investigation.
