DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on April 20, 2026, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on April 20, 2026, the youth assaulted her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was subsequently located by members of the Cornwall Police Service. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and released to appear in court at a later date.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 20, 2026, and charged with assault. It is alleged on March 7, 2026, the woman assaulted an emergency medical personnel member. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest. On April 20, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 2, 2026.
ASSAULT PEACE OFFICER
Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 20, 2026, and charged with assault peace officer – cause bodily harm. On April 20, 2026, members of the CPS responded to a disturbance complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted a CPS officer, causing injuries. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT

As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the youth’s arrest. On April 20, 2026, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and released to appear in court at a later date.
FRAUD
Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 20, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. On Feb. 5, 2026, a CPS officer was dispatched to a fraud complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman used a taxi service without providing payment. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fraud under $5,000. On April 20, 2026, police were dispatched to an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The woman was subsequently located by police. The warrant was executed and she was later released to appear in court on June 2, 2026.
