Neil HARRISON – Drunk Driving

(ALLISTON, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver for driving while impaired in the Town of New Tecumseth.

On February 12, 2025, shortly before 7:30 p.m., Nottawasaga OPP responded to a report of an unwanted person at the St louis Bar and Grill on King Street South, in Alliston. A customer who had been drinking was no longer welcome and refusing to leave. Upon officers arrival the individual had just fled the parking lot in a motor vehicle.

The officer was able to locate the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop shortly after on Victoria Street East. The officer issued an Approved Screening Device demand (ASD). Subsequently the driver provided a sample which resulted in a “Fail”. 

At 7:41 p.m., the driver: Neil HARRISON 63 years-old, of Alliston, was arrested and charge with:  

•Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day license suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. 

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Bradford on March 6, 2025, to answer to the charges.
