Masked Gunmen Arrested

(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have recently charged four individuals with numerous offences.

On March 24, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Caledon OPP responded to a weapons-related call for service in the area of Beech Grove Sideroad and Horseshoe Hill Road, in the Town of Caledon. Officers received information that four masked individuals armed with firearms were outside of a private residence. Officers attended the location promptly and took four suspects into custody without incident or injury.

Investigators identified two suspects as:

·        Angad GOSAL, 18-year-old from Brampton

·        Bhavjit SANDHU, 18-year-old from Brampton

The other two suspects were identified as 16-year-old Brampton residents. Their identities will be withheld under the provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

All four suspects have been charged will the following:

·        Disguise with intent

·        Carrying concealed weapon

·        Imitation firearm – use while committing offence

·        Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence

·        Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose

The accused parties are set to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer to the charges.

The Caledon OPP considers this an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
