(GORHAM TOWNSHIP) – Traffic enforcement by the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has led to one individual being arrested and charged with impaired operation.
On March 10, 2024, just before 12:30 a.m., members of the Thunder Bay OPP Detachment observed a motor vehicle in the area of Hollender Road in Gorham Township while conducting general traffic enforcement. Officers approached the motor vehicle and the driver was requested to provide a breath sample.
Through investigation, it was determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Thunder Bay OPP Detachment for further testing.
As a result, Jesse GERMANIUK, 36-years-old, of Gorham Township, has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus).
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on April 16, 2024.
