(DRYDEN, ON) – Members of the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one individual with numerous weapon offences.
On June 11, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m. members of the Dryden and Ignace OPP Detachments, along with members from the OPP Emergence Response Team (ERT) executed a warrant at a residence in Ignace.
As a result, Jeffrey REQUARTH, 37-years-old, of Ignace has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
· Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
· Pointing a Firearm
· Firearm – Use while committing offence
· Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
· Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
· Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
The accused is being held in custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
