(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – Two individuals are deceased and five others were transported to hospital following a collision in the County of Brant involving a pickup truck, Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and mini-van.
On Friday, March 20, 2026, at approximately 12:33 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) County of Brant detachment along with Fire and Paramedic Services responded to a three-vehicle collision on Colborne Street East between McBay Road and Langford Church Road.
Two occupants in the mini-van, a 38-year-old driver and 16-year-old passenger suffered serious life-threatening injuries and were pronounced deceased on scene. The driver along with three occupants in the SUV and the driver of the pickup truck were all transported to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the County of Brant OPP along with West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team continue to investigate the collision.
Colborne Street East is currently closed between McBay Road and Langford Church Road. It is anticipated that the closure will last for the next six to eight hours while officers continue to investigate.
Investigators are asking members of the motoring public that may have been in the area at the time to check their dash camera footage in the event they captured the event, or the vehicles involved.
