This “qualified drug recognition expert testing” seems like such a scam. What symptoms was the person displaying?? What drug was determined to be the intoxicating substance?? Seems like there is alot of room for Officers to just say “yup. That’s person is on drugs. Toss them in jail.” I would like to know the process and how the results were achieved for these tests. I’m surprised more people aren’t fighting these types of charges. Alcohol amounts can be measured in the bloodstream on the roadside, but to say someone is impaired by drugs at a traffic stop seems like an easy way to generate charges when no other infractions can be found. Perhaps I’m wrong though.

Police Officers are bond by a high sense of honor. It is BS that a single one would ever lie, never would happen in a 1000 years. They wouldn’t have been hired as officers if they didn’t have the highest possible ethical standards.
