(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Orangeville resident with impaired operation related offences as the result of a traffic stop.
On January 18, 2025, at approximately 3:52 p.m., Dufferin OPP officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Century Drive in the Town of Orangeville. Officers noted a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop. After a brief conversation the officers were quickly led to an impaired driving investigation.
Dana MACGREGOR, a 48-year-old male, from Orangeville has been charged with:
• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
• Driving while under suspension
• Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended 90 days, and their vehicle impounded for 7 days.
