Dainith TOULOUSE – Drunk Driving

(MISSISSAUGA FIRST NATION, ON) – Mississauga First Nation Police Service lays impaired charge.

On November 16, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Mississauga First Nation Police Service responded to a Side-by-Side (Utility Terrain Vehicle) in a ditch on West Street in the community of Mississauga First Nation. 

The driver walked away from the scene and was located by police a short time later. While speaking to the driver, police determined alcohol had been consumed. The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in Blind River and was later cleared medically. 

Once released from hospital, the driver was then transported to the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police detachment in Blind River for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Dainith TOULOUSE, 34 years-of-age who resides in the community of Mississauga First Nation was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on January 2, 2024.

The accused was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
