(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with an impaired driving offence following a traffic stop on March 20, 2026, in the Town of Clinton, Municipality of Central Huron.
Just after 10:15 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on John Street in Clinton. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.
The accused provided breath samples before a qualified OPP Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.
Zachary FOUG’ERE, 30 years-of-age from Central Huron has been charged with:
– Impaired Operation – Over 80.
The accused was additionally charged with five offences found in the Highway Traffic Act.
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on April 27, 2026.
