(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Bluewater resident with an impaired driving offence following a traffic stop on March 3rd, 2026, in the Town of Goderich.
Just after 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, March 03, 2026, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on Bayfield Road in Goderich. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.
The accused provided breath samples before a qualified OPP Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.
Tyler EDGINTON, 30 years-of-age from Bluewater has been charged with:
– Impaired Operation – Over 80,
– Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on April 20, 2026.
