(NORTH HURON, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an incident in the Town of Wingham, Township of North Huron.
On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Huron OPP officers were contacted about an assault that occurred at an address on Frances Street in Wingham. One person was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and treated for their injuries. The suspect was identified and arrested on March 04, 2026, and charged as follows:
George MILLS, 69 years-of-age of Central Huron was charged with:
– Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
The accused was processed at the Huron OPP detachment, held for a bail hearing, and released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on April 13, 2026.
